Arsenal take on Colorado Rapids to kick off their pre-season tour of the USA.

A Gunners XI drew 3-3 with Boreham Wood in the club’s first pre-season tie but now the hard work will really being ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Unai Emery and co now face MLS side Colorado Rapids, who are also owned by their club chief Stan Kroenke, before taking part in the International Champions Cup.

Colorado, who have ex-Everton star Tim Howard in their ranks, are in the middle of their season and are currently a lowly 11th in the Western Conference.


Arsenal vs Colorado Rapids: Date and kick-off time

The friendly clash will take place on Tuesday, July 16 and will kick off at 7pm in the US – that’s 1am on Wednesday in the UK.

It will be held at the 18,000 capacity Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.

Arsenal vs Colorado Rapids: Team news

Arsenal will have to play without Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding, who suffered a cruciate ligament and knee injury respectively, although Bellerin could be able to play some of the games in the latter stages of pre-season.

Wantaway captain Laurent Koscielny has refused to play while Bernd Leno is also on the injury table for the Gunners, with a ligament injury.

However, Arsenal fans could also see new signing Gabriel Martinelli’s first game in an Arsenal shirt while  several young stars such as Joe Willock and Emile Smith-Rowe will feature.
