Tammy Abraham and Ross Barkley scored as Chelsea edged to a 2-1 victory over Barcelona in Japan.
Abraham opened the scoring for the Blues just ten minutes before the break after he pounced on a wayward Sergio Busquets pass to finish neatly past Neto.
Following the interval Barcelona mounted the pressure on the Premier League club but were denied on many occasions by Kepa Arrizabalaga, who produced a string of fine saves to keep the Spanish champions at bay,
Barkley, who was one of several changes made by Frank Lampard throughout the match, sealed the victory with a fine curled finish in the closing stages of the match.
Ivan Rakitic’s stoppage time wonderstrike provided Barcelona with a mere consolation but ultimately it was too little, too late for the LaLiga club.
