Premier League champions Manchester City are set to get their pre-season schedule under way with a tie against top-flight rivals West Ham in China.

City have been beset with travel issues ahead of their involvement in the Premier League Asia Trophy with two flights to the Far East cancelled.

But they are still set to face off against the Hammers as they compete in the mini tournament alongside Newcastle and Wolves.

Pep Guardiola and co beat Manuel Pellegrini’s side in both league clashes last season.


Man City vs West Ham: Date and kick-off time

The Premier League Asia Trophy tie will take place on Wednesday, July 17 with kick off set for 1:15pm UK time.

It is being held at the 62,000 capacity Olympic Sports Centre in Nanjing, China.

The two sides will then take on either Newcastle or Wolves respectively in the next round of the mini tournament.
