Victor Lindelof’s agent has revealed that a ‘great European club’ are interested in signing the Manchester United defender.
The news will come as a fresh blow to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who already faces the prospect of losing high-profile stars Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku – both of whom have expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford.
Lindelof’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has now thrown his client’s future into fresh doubt hinting the Sweden defender could be open to a move amid interest from Barcelona.
“Lindelof is in the orbit of a great European club but leaving United depends on the English club,” Hasan Cetinkaya told Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan giants have reportedly attempted to speak with United over the potential sale of Lindelof on several occasions, but United’s stance has always been the same – the player is not for sale.
Such is the regard Lindelof is held in by the Premier League giants, they view the 24-year-old as an integral part of their future backline.
