Maneul Pellegrini has never been afraid to splash the cash, but the Chilean has developed a knack for getting the right sort of deals done.

After returning to the Premier League with West Ham United last summer, the former Manchester City boss set about transforming the Hammers.

In fact, the last 12 months has seen the east Londoners smash their own transfer record three times to bring in the players Pellegrini wanted.

Issa Diop, Felipe Anderson and Sebastien Haller have all arrived at the London Stadium and the 65-year-old shows no signs of tightening the purse strings.

In fact, this transfer-heavy approach to managing clubs has become something of a pattern in recent years.

After making several savvy signings as Malaga manager, Pellegrini was appointed as Real Madrid boss and given huge sums of money to spend in the 2009 summer window.

Similarly, when brought him in to replace Roberto Mancini, the Manchester City board made sure the transfer kitty was well stocked in order to continue their assault on the Premier League.

So with all this considered, it’s no wonder Pellegrini has amassed a huge transfer spend during his career – even breaking the world record a decade ago.

With all this considered, talkSPORT.com has decided to look back through Pellegrini’s dealing to find out who the top 10 most expensive signings are from his illustrious career.
