Romelu Lukaku is reportedly fit to face Tottenham on Thursday despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saying the striker is injured.
The manager revealed in his press conference on Wednesday the player would not be involved in the pre-season fixture in Shanghai, which kicks-off at 12:30pm BST.
“He [Lukaku] got injured in training so he had to stay here,” said the United boss.
“If it was worse we would have sent him home, but he’s been working with the physios in the gym, so no.

“Of course it’s never nice to be a player who misses out on important fitness work and team understanding and tactical approach, so he’ll just have to make up later on then,” said Solskjaer.
“He has been working with the physios the last few days. I don’t think he’ll make this [match] either.”
However, Lukaku is able to be take part in matches, but United have chosen not to risk the former Everton player getting injured and hindering a £75million move to Inter, write The Sun.
While Lukaku did have a complaint over an ankle problem at the start of pre-season, he has been seen training with his team-mates and was spotted alone, during a session at the Yuanshen Stadium in Shanghai.
It means the Belgian has missed wins over Perth Glory, Leeds, Inter and now Spurs on United’s tour of Australia and China.
